It has some awesome features, which I will cover below, including cupholders, an ice chest, and more. I will also add some opinions about what it’s like to travel with – how it pushes, folds, and fits in cars, and then end with some comparisons to other wagons on the market. Specifics
The Jeep Wrangler Deluxe Stroller Wagon has two harness seats that hold up to 110 pounds total. That is perfect for two bigger toddlers or four smaller babies. If you have a baby less than 6 months, or they cannot sit up on their own yet, the wagon comes with a car seat adapter. It is compatible with several common car seat brands, such as Graco and Evenflo. This is perfect, especially if you have a newborn and a smaller toddler. A lot of newborn strollers do not have enough storage space in them, so this is a great option to be able to push around your babies along with a ton of other things. It’s definitely more of a compact cart rather than a lightweight, everyday errand stroller.
Safety
The wagon is JPMA stroller-certified and has a 5-point harness for each seat. This is safer than your typical lap strap that toddlers can easily escape out of. My baby likes to lean over the edge of things and hang upside down, so I have peace of mind that he is safe when he is strapped in the wagon. There are also brakes on both sides of the wagon, ensuring that it won’t roll away from you, no matter which side you are on.
Canopy & Nap-friendliness
The removable canopy is one of my favorite aspects of the wagon. It folds easily, so it can be stored in one of the pockets of the wagon if you want to put it on or take it off. This is so helpful for me because a lot of parks around my house don’t have a ton of shade. The canopy shades from UV rays and has zippers all around it to bring down side shades. Two of the roll-downs are mesh for airflow, and the other two are privacy/blackout panels. My baby is almost one, so he unfortunately doesn’t take naps in random places anymore, but I could see it working for younger babies or toddlers who can sleep anywhere. It does make the perfect dark space for naps or diaper changes, though.
Storage & Organization
This is where the Jeep Wrangler Deluxe Stroller Wagon excels. Besides it being a huge open space for anything and everything, there are also a lot of spots for smaller items. On one side, there are two pockets, and then three pockets on the other side. This is perfect for sunscreen, extra wipes, snacks, and more.
It came with a few additional organization pieces that you can take on and off as needed. One is a separate cupholder, which holds your standard soda can or bottle. Another is a storage organizer that has dividers inside. This can hold bigger drinks, like Stanley cups, smaller snacks, and also has a zipper for keys and wallets. Lastly, it comes with a small ice chest to keep your drinks cold while at the beach, park, or sports field. The cooler has a strap so you can take it along with you or use it separately from the wagon. This has been perfect for me and my family because I can now walk to our community pool with drinks for the day, and have plenty of space for pool toys.
Pushing & Pulling
With heavy babies and a lot of stuff that comes along with them, it’s important to have a stable wagon that moves easily. I am a teacher, so I was spending a lot of time going to my classroom during the summer to set it up. This wagon was perfect to put my baby in, along with all of my Amazon boxes. It maneuvered around the hallways and my room perfectly.
There are big wheels in the back, and smaller ones in the front. It’s very easy to push or pull on sidewalks or park paths. It is heavier on grass or bumpy paths, though. The footbrakes are great and easily accessible, so you can push or pull from any direction. I think for such a big wagon that it glides really nicely.
Folding & Use
The Wrangler Deluxe folds flat with a latch and stands on its own. It is very easy to fold, which I love. You just put the handles down, pull a strap at the bottom of the wagon, and it folds up. The latch keeps it folded together, so it stays in place. It’s a lot heavier than your average travel stroller, which is expected, but I was able to get it in and out of my car pretty easily. I am not very strong at all, so it is doable for the average person. It’s not something I would want to do every day, though. It is pretty big, and it might not fit in your car if you have a lot of other things in it. Every time I used it, I had nothing else in the back of my car. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee L, so I have plenty of room for it and extra things. However, I can see how having a smaller vehicle would be a problem.
Cleaning & Durability
This is a concern for me, especially after having multiple stroller blowouts or just from general messes. The big fabric panels can be spot-cleaned, which isn’t the best option for serious spills or blowouts. It would be better if everything could be washed or hosed off. I don’t know how well it would be after a beach trip with salty air and sand.
Who it’s best for
The Jeep Wrangler Deluxe is best for:
- Families who have more than one kid, or with one kid wanting extra space
- Families who go to ball fields, parks, or festivals often
- People with larger vehicles
I find it has been great for my family and me, as we just use it for park visits or pool time. I could see how it would not be best for trips hiking in the mountains, or on uneven sidewalks. There are a lot of hills where I live, so if I put too much in it, I don’t really think I could pull it up some of the hills. Also, I would love to take it on a beach trip, but I think we would have to pack light to make space for it in our vehicle.
If you are primarily doing quick errands or have a small car with little space, you may be happier with a lighter, narrower two-seat wagon. If you are often off-pavement or want a more luxurious wagon, there are other premium wagons available that aren’t as rugged as the Jeep Wrangler.

However, if you need to use the wagon more often, it may be best to opt for the Evenflo since it is lighter. The Evenflo is cheaper by about $50, but you get way more features with the Jeep wagon. The Evenflo does not have the canopy and side panels that come down for privacy, and does not have as many storage options.
Veer Cruiser
The Veer is an adventure-driven choice. It is lightweight, extremely durable, and hose-washable. If you need an all-terrain wagon, this is the option to choose. It is great for rocky hikes, beach walks, or muddy roads. This is the most durable and packable wagon you can find, but it is at a high price point. You also have to buy a lot of the accessories separately, unlike the Jeep Wagon, which has all the extra features included.
WonderFold W2
The WonderFold has high-back, elevated seats for more of a comfortable ride for your babies. This wagon is more stroller-like with actual seats, offering a plusher cushion. It is bigger than the Jeep wagon with 4 seats and has almost double the weight capacity. However, this makes for a heavier wagon overall. My favorite part about this one is the snack tray it comes with. If you want a bigger option with more of a premium feel, the WonderFold is a great choice, but it is more expensive than the Jeep.
Baby Trend Expedition 2-in-1
If you are looking for something more affordable, Baby Trend offers the Expedition wagon at a great price. It is light, folds flat, and budget-friendly. If you aren’t sure if you will use a wagon that much, or just don’t want to pay a lot for one, this is the way to go. It does not have many features, though, so you might want to look into that first.
Which wagon should you buy?
- Choose the Jeep Wrangler Deluxe if you need extra space, enjoy additional features, need privacy or naptime options, and prioritize safety in a wagon. If you have the storage space for it, it’s a great option.
- Choose the Evenflo Pivot Xplore if you want a lighter, two-seater that can fit in a smaller trunk, but don’t care about extra storage space. Best for quicker errand trips.

It is best if you love the outdoors, but stay in areas with paved sidewalks, like the park, festivals, or a ball field. It wouldn’t be a good option for rougher trails or everyday errands, since it is on the heavier side. It is relatively easy to set up, and super easy to fold and unfold. I personally love all of the features – especially the large canopy with roll-down sides. I was shocked that it came with an extra ice chest that straps onto the wagon, storage organizers, and more. Compared to other wagons, I think this one has the most shade options and storage compatibility. The Wrangler Deluxe also delivers the room, safety, and flexibility for families of all ages.
